Unai Emery has appeared to have worked his magic quickly, as his links with former club PSG have apparently lured top talent to Arsenal, according to L’Equipe.

The French publication have reported that PSG starlet Yacine Adli has rejected his current club’s offer of a new deal, and will take Arsenal up on their offer of a three year deal, with an option for two more years.

The 17 year old attacking midfielder made one Ligue Un appearance last season, earning him a title medal, and has been capped at U16, U17 and U18 level by France. He was also voted PSG’s most promising youth product last season, underlining his potential star quality.

Adli was also wanted by Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, which is also testament to his promise, but it is the promise of more first team football and a chance to work again with the man who gave him a chance at PSG that is reportedly luring the young Frenchman.

Bearing more than a passing resemblance to another young Frenchman - Adrian Rabiot - appearance is where the comparison ends. Adli is far more attacking than his lookalike, and is keen to drop a shoulder and either cut in or play an early ball. His vision is promising but not yet honed enough, but his frame is deceptively strong for such a skinny frame.

If this deal goes through, it is a real coup for Arsenal, as Adli represents a commodity that could easily have gone to one of the top clubs.

Transfer fee is not clear, nor is it cemented as negotiations are at an early stage, but the signs are promising for both us and Adli. A 17 year old gets the chance to flourish and Arsenal get a talent that could well prove to be a key signing for our future.
