Transfer rumours are like fast food leaflets stuffed through your letterbox.
Every once in a while, you get one that you really like the look of, and it gets saved from the shredder.
The perfect example of this came up recently when Arsenal were linked with young French winger Kingsley Coman.
The youngster plies his trade for Bayern Munich, and the reports are that the Germans are willing to listen to offers for a few of their players to rejuvenate their squad. Jerome Boateng is one of the names on the list, and so, surprisingly, is Coman.
The winger is regarded as one of the hottest talents in Europe, and has already accrued extensive experience at the top level, playing for both Bayern and Juventus and in the Champions League.
It is well known that, even after our spending spree, our squad is stronger but still light in terms of genuine width. Could Coman be the answer?
This may be a long shot, and with a transfer fee expected to be in the region of 50-60m Euros, it would be one of the most shocking transfers this summer - even in the face of Liverpool squandering record-breaking money for Roma goalkeeper Allisson.
Coman is worth every penny though, and could be the last piece in Emery’s puzzle. The Frenchman scored seven goals in just 23 starts last season and would be wanted by the cream of Europe should he actually be available.
The entire premise would hinge on Arsenal clearing out a few players to raise the funds first, and Petr Cech, David Ospina, Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck would bring in a fair amount to push for this move.
This story is pure hearsay right now, but there is a realm of plausibility in the news. If anything is revealed, you can be sure that you will find the latest here on The Arsenal Review.
