Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be on his way to the Allianz Arena next summer, as Bayern Munich have held successful talks with the Welshman's representatives, according to Independent.
The 27-year-old midfielder who will be available on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign upon the expiration of his current contract at the Emirates, had plenty of interest in him from within the Premier League, especially from Liverpool and Chelsea.
But Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich believe that they have won the race to sign the Wales international.
Ramsey signed a five-year deal at Arsenal in March 2014 and has been running it down so that he could leave on a free transfer in summer 2019.
Ramsey had been close to agreeing a new deal with Arsenal at the start of the season but the Gunners withdrew their offer to the Welshman in a surprising move.
It is reported that he had demanded a huge increase on his basic salary and had been asking for around £200,000-a-week to stay at the Emirates.
Unai Emery is said to have agreed with Arsenal’s decision not to hand Ramsey a new deal but will continue to utilise the midfielder for the remainder of the season.
