Saturday is approaching and Arsenal are in town - we’ll be the only top flight club in action.

How is this possible? Well, the Legends are in town.

This isn’t the first Legends game to have been organised, and this is the second leg of a two-legged tie versus Real Madrid Legends. The first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu ended 2-1 to the Spanish side - can we turn it around?

There is plenty of interest for this match, not least because of the famous name taking part. The leading lights of our generation will be on show, and it will all be in aid of the Arsenal Foundation.

Arsenal Legends will be managed by record appearance maker David O’Leary and assisted by Pat Rice. Fans who attend - I will be lucky enough to be there - will get to see the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg, David Seaman and Nigel Winterburn. For Real Madrid, they will rock up to The Emirates with Clarence Seedorf, Raul and Guti donning the famous white shirt.

Robert Pires has been promoting the event, and said of the chance to play for Arsenal again in front of his adoring fans;

“We are all very excitied to be taking part in this match after a close match in Madrid earlier this year. Playing in front of the Arsenal fans is always an honour, and playing alongside some of my old team mates is very emotional. We all had such a good time in Madrid.”

It is sure to be an entertaining 90 minutes. It’s another chance to see our heroes in action, against some exceptional opponents.

Real Madrid will also bring the likes of Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos to London, as well as Luis Figo, Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa. The Gunners have got their work cut out if we want to overturn the first leg deficit, but with the squad we have and a packed Emirates, anything is possible, and it will be a blast to see it all unfold.
