So, there you have it, the away record is basically exactly the same. Up nest, three home matches against Chelsea, Man U, and Cardiff. The final 10 matches of the season start with Tottenham away (which they want to play in their new stadium) and then we have 5 more away matches and just 4 home.

Possess

50.1 - Percent possession by West Ham before they scored

0.43 - xG for Arsenal before they scored

0.51 - xG for West Ham before they scored

69 - Percent possession for Arsenal after Wham scored

0.26 - xG for Arsenal after West Ham scored

5 - Shots by Arsenal after West Ham scored

1 - Shots on target by Arsenal after West Ham scored (Guendouzi)

83 - Percent pass completion by both teams before West Ham scored

57 - Pass completion percentage by Maitland-Niles from 0-49th minute (8/14, tied with Aubameyang for worst of any player on the pitch)

80 - Pass completion percentage by Maitland-Niles after West Ham scored and allowed us to have the ball in out own half. This pattern continues with most of the players. Guendouzi completed 93% after the 49th minute but had zero key passes,

What I can’t say is that we didn’t try. In that second period, Iwobi attempted 4 of his six dribbles; Arsenal attempted 74 of their 139 total final third passes and Arsenal were 5 times more active in the 18 yard box - in the first half Arsenal attempted only 4 passes into the West Ham 18 yard box (¼ completed) and in the second half, Arsenal attempted 20 (7/20 completed). It looks like just shutting down the right side (mostly just AMN) was enough to shut Arsenal down.

Errors

They gave Xhaka an error for the goal. That was his second on the season and brings Arsenal to 7 goals from errors this season. Arsenal also have conceded 5 penalties and 1 own goal. That’s 13 goals directly from mistakes, leading the League again (like last season). Man U are next of all the top teams with 8, Tottenham have 5, Man City have 4, and Liverpool have just 3.
